What charity or cause do you feel passionate about and why?
My answer:
The March of Dimes because they help save babies! Their mission statement is: "We're dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality."

For a long time it has been the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Center in Houston, TX. For years have ordered my xmas cards from them as well as other things through out the year - you should check them out! Now, as a 3 1/2 yr. cancer survivor, also am big into the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life (which I actually participated in thru work long before I got cancer!) We need all the help we can get to someday find a cure for this dreaded disease!
The American Caner Society. I have lost many relatives to different types of cancer. I know they do an amazing job helping people with cancer and their families as well.
I am very much a supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I had a friend in 3rd grade go there for treatment and she was cured! 20 years later and she is still doing awesome and is cancer free.
Right now I am very passionate about Mck Mama & her msn (many small children). But in general anything having to do w/ kids has my attention.
I am a huge proponent of literacy awareness and worked with an organization called BookEnds for many years. The take donated books and establish libraries for schools and groups who don't have money for them.
I don't have one charity. I like the ones that help children.
I've walked for the MOD since middle school. Now that I have children, it's a cause closer to my heart.
a wonderful cause....I support the united way....because of the thousands of different charities my money can be absorbed by.
The Ronald McDonald House. My BIL had to use their services and was really impressed with them.
