First he started with a kid favorite the tarantula. In Denver there is a place called the Butterfly Pavilion where my kids had held a tarantula before. B and FiFi both volunteered and got chosen to hold the tarantula but those pictures did not turn out well (the meeting was in a church basement and the lighting is not great).
Then critter guy passed around a skink for the kids to hold. Surprisingly most kids jumped right in and held the skink.
Looks like B found a new friend |

Hubby and the snake |
Next were the snakes and there were lots of them. Critter guy was wearing a fishing vest and kept pulling a new snake out of every pocket.
Hubby was very comfortable holding the snakes, me on the other hand, I did not want it to get any closer to me.
I am not scared, per se but not really interested in holding it. Mice on the other hand, I would've screamed and ran the other way.
All the kids really had a great time and even learned a thing or two.
So what are you scared of? Snakes, spiders, mice, something else?

Why is the little girl behind FiFi dressed like "the hills are alive"?
Wow you've got a brave family! I am scared of snakes!
Fifi is looking so old! I guess the closest thing I can think of is my dislike towards spiders. I don't love spiders but I wouldn't say I am afraid of them either.
I'd hold a snake anyday...but a bat would have me running. I am petrified of them.
Not sure how you can be scared of small wiggly things, yet still have 3 kids.
That just made my skin crawl!!!
